I love couples who wear matching outfits on vacation...
LOVE IT! Well mostly only when it's me. I'm hypocritical like that. :D In this instance it's me and my guy wearing cute matching hoodies that I made for us cause I'm a dork. The original intention was for them to be "hang out around the house" sweaters but then he wore his to pick me up at the airport when I visited Newfoundland for the first time and I thought that was just so friggin cute so I put mine on too and took pictures! So here we are, in public, matching like two big dorks in love *aww* :)

These are made with McCall's M6614 Misses'/Men's Tops and Hoodies pattern. I liked this pattern a lot, the hoods are a decent size and the piecing of the front and back allows for a lot of customization and colour-blocking options as you can see. I definitely would make the pocket a front pouch pocket next time, currently the two single pockets are so small you can't even put a phone in them without risk of it falling out at any moment. And they are in the centre anyways exactly where a pouch pocket would be! I do think the cut is more flattering on the male figure but maybe there is some adjusting I could do on the centre panel to make it more hourglass shaped to help with that next time?
I got the fabric in a remnants bin at Fabricland and was so pleased they had both the blue plaid and a matching navy solid which meant I could do those nice contrast panels on the side - you know for slimming effects. I made the cuffs with the contrast fabric as well which worked pretty well, I think if I remember correctly the pattern comes with the pieces for that but also says you can buy ribbing if you want.
That first one was a nice photo taken on my nice camera, now here are some blurry photos taken on my phone... I promise I will do better at outfit photography in the future!

Now, since I am the primary photographer when we go anywhere, and he looks better in his anyways, here are two more nice quality shots of him in his hoodie.

I really should have gotten a picture of us doing the pose from the cover of the pattern envelope.
