Long sleeved Kielo Dress
I made a long sleeve dress last spring with some heaviest scuba knit. It is perfect for semi-formal/business cocktail type events in Newfoundland spring, since it doesn't get very warm here until July you need the extra warmth of a thick fabric and long sleeves but are super tired of all the dark winter colours! I used the Named Patterns Kielo Wrap dress with the long sleeve pattern extension you can get from their website for free! And in the blog post they wrote to explain how to use the pattern extension they shorten the dress as well which I really liked.
I wore this to an office opening event last March and it was very well received, thankfully it was a dry day since I was wearing suede shoes :P

I actually made this one before I made the classic maxi sleeveless version since I needed it for the event first. The construction was pretty straight forward, the darts in the back are hard to get perfectly even but maybe that's just me. I used the one Named has on their blog as a guide on how to adjust the pattern for a knee length look, basically I took some width out of the wraps below where the tie connects so the taper was more shallow and made the ties a little wider.

Overall I would definitely make another one of these! Thanks for Reading!! :)
