Seamwork Reggie Shirt - Tropical prints
I made the Reggie Dress from Seamwork Magazine, but I didn't have enough fabric for a dress (short by half a yard!) so I made a Reggie Shirt! I think this is definitely a happy accident since, while I really enjoy sewing dresses, the often chilly climate of St. John's is much more suited for pants weather. Not to mention the wind being a hazard with a wrap dress!

The Reggie is an oversized wrap style, with a side tie and a button on the inside to keep the flaps down. I do think the cut is a little on the risque side in the front, with a lot of potential flashing that could happen if you lean a little too far forward. I just need a cute cami to wear underneath and all will be good! Overall I think the top came out really cute, and just happens to match these new earrings I have perfectly!

We headed down to the beach for some photos since it's such a fun "beach shirt" and it was a beautiful sunny day. It was only 1 C so VERY cold for a tshirt, but we were quick with the photos and then I got to put my parka back on haha. Thanks again for taking my pictures Adam!
Other than shortening the skirt by about 20" to be shirt length, I also changed the sleeve length to be a bit shorter. The way it is drafted they are almost elbow length which I didn't find super flattering on me. Of course I had already sewn the sleeve cuffs on when I realised this, so there was much grumbling as I unpicked those. But it was worth it! As it usually is when you decide to follow through on a fit adjustment lol.
The fabric was a clearance rack find from Fabricville, which I bought in two colour-ways (the green one is going to be a Inari Tee I think!). I think it is a cotton poly blend, a little bit of stretch and presses pretty well.

Check out my cool shoes from Peru! I bought them in Cusco when I was there a couple years about to visit Machu Picchu!
